This is not a hope. It is a plan. Five phases, specific actions, transparent milestones. We are not the first Christian school to walk this road, and others have walked it well. By God's grace, we will too.

Phase 1

Bridge Week

May 5 - May 11, 2026

Raise $114,000 to keep the doors open through end of year
Personal outreach from 5 anchor families for major gifts
Launch CanadaHelps page with tax-receipted giving
Confirm matching donor of $25,000 or more
Begin honouring deferred staff commitments

Phase 2

Stabilize the Quarter

May 12 - May 31, 2026

Close the $150,000 emergency campaign
Confirm Re-Enrollment commitments by May 15
Negotiate Grace Church rent into formal forgiveness or repayment plan
Apply to Ontario Trillium Foundation and 6 Christian foundations
Activate parent ambassador program

Phase 3

Right-Size for Sustainability

June 1 - July 31, 2026

Publish 26-27 budget and staffing plan publicly by June 15
Launch summer day camps and tutoring as new revenue lines
Welcome Mrs. Swagerman as new principal-teacher on July 1
Implement payroll review and tuition reconciliation controls
Reconstitute board with finance, audit, and development committees

Phase 4

Reopen Stronger

August - October 2026

Open September 2026 with confirmed enrollment and balanced budget
Two summer open houses targeting wait-listed York Region families
Launch optional 2-day hybrid track to diversify revenue
Begin building 3-month operating reserve
Launch fall annual fund and GivingTuesday campaign

Multiply the Mission

November 2026 - 2029

Reach 90+ students by Sept 2028
Tuition under 75% of revenue, diversified through camps, hybrid track, donations
6 months of operating reserves by June 2029
Mrs. Hayhoe fully repaid by mid-2028

Why we exist

This is more than a school. It is a calling.

For nearly five decades, NCA has been a place where children are taught that they are made in God's image, that learning is worship, and that every gift they have is given for the good of others.

Gift of Securities

Donate appreciated stocks or mutual funds and pay zero capital gains tax while receiving the full fair market value as a donation receipt.

Speak to our treasurer → Most tax-efficient option. Best for donors with appreciated investments.

Online giving

CanadaHelps

CanadaHelps provides a donation receipt. Convenient if you prefer credit card and an automated process.

Give via CanadaHelps → $1,000 gift → ~$965 to NCA. CanadaHelps deducts a 3.5% processing fee.

Your $3,500 gift costs roughly $1,950 after Canadian tax credits.

As a registered charity, NCA issues donation receipts for every donation. Ontario donors in the top bracket recover roughly 46% to 53% of charitable gifts above $200 through combined federal and provincial tax credits.

Enrollment numbers are how we plan staffing, design classrooms, and build a sustainable budget. Every confirmed family is a brick in the foundation of next year's NCA. Even a tentative yes helps us prepare with confidence.
